On Sunday, while staying in Eureka, we wanted sushi for lunch and I checked the internet for suggestions.
Most of the sushi places were either closed Sunday or didn't open til late afternoon.
The Bayfront Restaurant seemed to have a good rating, but listed Italian and Japanese as their quisine.
The combination sounded a bit strange, but we decided to check it out.
It was located in what appeared to be a relatively new structure right on the waterfront in Old Town.

I ordered tempura and Lynn ordered chicken katsu. I also ordered a 7-piece sushi combination plate.
The portions were generous and the preparation was great.
The atmosphere was modern and clean, the views of the bay, exceptional.
The tempura, which initally looked a little "dark," was exceptional with the lightest batter I have ever had.
All in all, a very rewarding lunch.

We returned again in 2017 and enjoyed another selection of Japanese quisine.
